Simon Cusden

Simon Cusden is a former professional cricketer turned private coach for senior leaders and their teams, and a founding partner of Whole People.

Simon has extensive personal experience of serious mental health conditions, including addiction, anxiety and depression, which he battled throughout his playing career and afterwards. Now in long-term recovery, Simon dedicates his life to using the lessons and wisdom he has acquired through his own personal experience to support others in high-performing and demanding environments.

Simon’s approach to coaching is to focus on the health of the person as a whole – mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, relational, financial and environmental. ‘The work is an impactful deep dive that is designed to make a difference – holistically, harmoniously, but fast and long-lasting.’

Simon is happily married to Jess, who is also in long-term recovery. They are parents to their twin boys, Jupiter and Phoenix. Simon and Jess both came home to the UK from time abroad to start their family and ‘get stuck into’ building a solution to the problems people face, both in addiction and more broadly.
